 A WARNING, repeated          Geneva, December 22, 2009

The EUROPEAN LEAGUE OF GENEVA, a Think Tank for the promotion of the Ideals of the EU, wishes to repeat, on a wider scale, the WARNING at first addressed to a limited number of recipients in Cyprus, Greece and the EU. The initial warning, based on reliable information and on a deep knowledge of history and psychology, is as follows:

The European League of Geneva expresses (on the basis of reliable information) its severe doubts that the Christofias Plan may be accepted by the Greek Majority in the Island and, consequently, in the case of referendum, by the Greek Cypriots. It is difficult to believe that a Nation may willingly commit suicide. The avoidance of a referendum and the imposition of the Christofias Plan on the Greek majority of the Island will (according to our information) have extremely serious consequences for the peaceful future of the Island. The Turkish domination of a State that belongs to the European Community is likely to also have severe consequences (in case of acceptance of the Christofias Plan) for the continuation of the Cyprus State as member of the European Union. The followers of the Christofias Plan (in Cyprus, Greece or elsewhere) will make a serious mistake if they consider the acceptance of Turkey in the EU as for granted. It will also be a serious mistake if they take these few lines of caution by the European League of Geneva, based on serious sources of information, as worthy to be ignored.

A further information as a warning is to be noted.  The Christofias Plan, a camouflaged version of the Anan Plan, if left to be forcefully imposed on the 82% majority of the Greek/Cypriot population in the Island, is likely to create a New Palestine in Eastern Mediterranean. The European League of Geneva, based on serious information, feels obliged to send a new WARNING to the interested powers of the Planet that the Palestinian problem is the main cause of the present scourge of international terrorism which influences the peaceful development of the EU. The repetition of the same mistake in the case of the Greek/Cypriot overwhelming majority of the Island, is likely to revive a new clandestine movement whose territory of action may not and will not be restricted only in the Cypriot region.

It will be a fatal mistake if the USA, Britain, Greece and especially the EU, take these few lines of caution suggested by the European League of Geneva as worthy to be ignored. The future that will prove the contrary is very near and the responsibility of the leaders of the interested parties is very great.
